So, my friend Carina sent me a bunch of polishes from L.A. Colors, the glitter and the metallic collection. Unfortunately one took a tumble... hit a wall and then exploded all over the white carpet. Thankfully it wasn't the purple or teal! But, umm... I don't think that nail polish stain is coming out heh. These polishes don't actually have names so I just described them by finish and color. You can purchase these colors at dollar stores, Cub Foods(Minnesota grocery store chain) and at Gordmans(Midwest discount store). I think they were about $1 but I can't say for sure.
I'm guessing for nail polish that is only $1, you might be wondering about the quality... I have nothing bad to say about the formula on these. I am impressed! The brushes are fine too, I have no complaints.
For this manicure I painted the whole nail with Metallic Purple, then sponged the Metallic Teal over the top of the nail with your run of the mill generic makeup sponge to create the fade then painted the tips regularly with the Teal. The next day I decided to add some of the Glitter Teal to the tips as well. It didn't fade as smoothly as I would have liked but... hey it was my first time trying it. :P
